One of the biggest questions that I find myself being asked is. "What is a good way to get started with Internet Marketing and start building a list?"
They also ask me how I got started. Well that story is a little longer than I care to write today but to make it short and sweet, if you want to get started like I did then here are the steps that you should take:
1. You just go out and find yourself a Millionaire Son that is already on top of his game in the world of Internet Marketing.
2. Reach a point of desperation in your life so that you will be willing to at least pretend that you are listening to him. Make sure that you are to the point that you are not answering the phones because you know that whoever is on the other end is just asking for money that you don't have to give them. Make sure you are ready to lose almost everything you have. Every credit card is maxed out and charging you at least 30% interest on each one. You are at a point in your life that you think there is no possible way it could be more stressful.
You and your spouse are at each other all of the time because they are just trying to help you cope and you don't see what kind of help they possibly could be so you just want them to shut up and leave you alone. Of course this will trickle down to your children who will join in the turmoil and just start adding to your stress.
3. Your millionaire Son finally reaches a point that he can't watch what is going on any longer and he reaches out to help.
4.You accept the help out of desperation and do something that you have no clue whatsoever how to do.
5. You go to Ken McArthur's Get Your Product Done, meet some awesome Marketers, Create a product. ( I also recommend Ken's JVALert Live events it will serve as the same purpose)
6. Get a ton of the top marketers to launch it, make over $104,000 in the first month, (you do this in 3 weeks time) and you just start marketing to your new list of almost 10,000 subscribers.
Well there ya have it, that is one way to get started.
My recommendations are don't even think about it. It can work but the chances you are going to be able to find a millionaire son if you don't have one already is not very likely. If you have a millionaire Son or Daughter then what are you waiting for? You must not have raised them right! If you have 6 children as I do at least you have a 1 out of 6 chance.
They better at least be springing for a good private Nursing home for you later on in life with excellent care.
Ok here is another way you could get going.
1. Find a niche that you want to build a business around. Find something you are Passionate about, something you enjoy doing, your hobbies, what is it that you know that you do every day. Maybe you raise special needs children that are in special education classes in school and you have mastered the art of making sure your child gets the best education in a world that is cutting back on the help your child gets. But yet you have managed to make sure your child's education needs are met. You know how to get advocates to help out. You know the laws and what rights your child has.
This is called knowing something that someone else would like to know that would solve a problem in their life and they would want to pay for the information you have.Your niche can be something you know about already or, something that you want to learn a lot about. It really doesn't matter if you know everything about your Niche. You just have to find experts that do know already.
This is not as hard as you may think. You will find some answers and help with this with my Layoff Your Boss Affiliate Domination eBook.
2. Start putting together an Interview series with experts that have a list, and that have products to promote and sell that will be willing to take place in your series of Interviews that you are putting together.
3. You will next set up an Opt-In page. This is a page that the list owners that you are doing the Interviews with will send out to the subscribers on their list. They tell the subscribers that they are doing an Interview with you and that they can sign up by clicking on the provided link.
This will take them to your Opt-In page where they will be given a list of benefits that will entice them to sign up for the call. Once they Opt-In and sign up for the event they will be directed to a thank you page.
4. On the thank you page you do not just say thanks for signing up for the Interview series. You take advantage of the Thank you page and promote a product through an affiliate link where you and the Expert you will be interviewing will both benefit from the sale. This is one way that you will be able to make your expert you are interviewing feel like he is going to receive a benefit for doing the call with you. You make some money which is a benefit to you. You have now started a list from the Opt-Ins which is another huge benefit to you.
5. Next you do your teleseminar with your expert. You have your call, ask some very good questions that will extract tons of great content from your expert. You have the expert sell their product at the end of the call through an affiliate link that has been set up for you. You earn a commission on each sale. Your guest makes money through the sale of his or her product. Your callers received great content, and everyone has just had a win, win situation and walks away happy.
You now have started a list, made some money, if you were able to sell any of the products that were offered, and you also have great content from your RECORDED Interview that you just did with the expert.
Repeat this process with another 10 or so experts and watch things really take off.
The next step you will be doing is basically marketing to your new list of customers through your Autoresponder follow up messages. You can go to someplace like ClickBank and find 3 or 4 good products that directly are targeted to your Niche and promote them in your follow up messages.
Make sure you find good products that you get to know so that you can offer excellent recommendations for to your new list.This process will work in any niche which is a great thing about this method.
Some of the tools you will need are a good Autoresponder. I recommend aweber. It has great deliverability of the emails you send out. I have never had my emails delayed.
Your autoresponder is a must have tool.
You will need a good conference line that you can record your interview with. A good place to start is some place like Highspeedconferencing.com
