Free Products On The Web

by George Monte

When surfing the net I often find sites that have free products offers. After thinking about it a bit, I guess those site got the idea from the offline industries, like supermarkets which offer the customers "1 + 1" deals: buy one product for full price and the second one for free.
On the web they offer you 100% free items! They do it hoping that you'll stop your browsing and stay there to take a second look at what is highlighted as a total free product and by the way your eyes will scroll over to other goods which cost full price. It's a kind of a sophisticated trap. Imagine a store keeper who hangs a big sign on one of the items he shows in the display window. He hopes too that you'll enter his shop and see many other goods and buy one of those who costs full price.
The innocent buyer, in the case of the selling site on the Internet, must stop for a moment and think before he is pushing the button and confirm his purchase: what is hiding behind those "free" deals. What is really happening behind the scene? How come a business proprietor can offer his clients "free" merchandise? A business is a business and it must gain profits in order to survive. There is an absurd here. What are the answers to solve this contradiction?
1. The customer is not going to pay for the product but he is going to pay for the shipment. For the shipment he'll pay a triple price and the total amount will cover the product regular cost.
1. The product quality will be very poor. On the computer screen it will appear as a big, massive, shining and worth a fortune! Just like they do it in the mail shopping catalogues. When you'll get it at home it will be small, fragile, dwindling and worth nothing.
1. When the customer starts the purchasing process he'll find it long and exhausting. It is done deliberately. He wouldn't be able to finish the procedure unless he is passing through several screens. In every screen he'll be offered full price accessories and will be asked to upgrade his original quest for extra money. The poor sucker is happy with the free main product he is considering to be the best bargain of his life and for some lousy extra bucks he is not going to give it up! But the naïve guy is forgetting the basics laws of economy: The proprietor can't loose! He sold the customer those accessories and upgrades for much more money than the regular cost of the product alone.

1. The one who invented the trick of "free" deals new very good the psychological mechanism of many of us. Some of us have this sense of guilt when we get a free gift. We have an urge to pay something in return. So we compensate the site owner by buying some other items, for which we are paying outrages prices.
1. Who really pay for the "free" products? The customers? The proprietor? No. The employees who are manufacturing those products - they pay the price. They earn less money comparing to what they could earn if products were sold for their full price, covering all production costs and leaving some margins for a nice profit. Living according to the true spirit of capitalism we would like to believe that fair and honest factory's owners would have paid their workers according to their marketing success. But if they give it for nothing - what is left for the workers?
So think twice when you see a "free" sign.
I'm working in an online print shop which is forced to give some of its products for free. We have to do it because other online print shops do it. If we want to compete and survive - we have to do it too. I am wondering around our working stations and see the look in our workers eyes when they are working for a job they know that is for "free". They fill as if someone is spitting on their work. You have to see their shinning eyes when they are working for a full price project when they know that someone else is appreciating their skills and capabilities.
Big business owners can reduce prices, in some cases to zero, absorbing it with profits from other areas of their vast range of businesses. On their way to success and dominate the market they run over small businesses. They take an advantage of the mass proffering quantity above quality.
As I've mentioned before, I work in an online print shop (called DCP-Print.com). I can tell you that we have decided not to give away quality. We decided not to deceive the customers with extremely high shipping costs. We do our best to play the game as fair as possible and I believe we're doing a pretty good job at it.

Open a Dollar Store - Is Craigslist a Resource for Selling?

by Bob Hamilton

One of the challenges faced by entrepreneurs who open a dollar store or a discount store is inventory management. One of the inventory management nightmares is finding methods to quickly liquidate excess, slow selling and outdated items. One potential method for handling this headache is using Craigslist to sell off that inventory in volume quantities.
If you are about to open a dollar store it is worth your time to become familiar with Craigslist and how it works. You might even attempt to make a few purchases. That experience will be helpful when the time comes to actually use the resource to sell off merchandise.
There are several potential advantages to using Craigslist. First, sales can be made in your local area. That reduces transportation costs. It also means that you are dealing with prospective buyers in your time zone; there won't be any middle of the night telephone inquiries about the items you have for sale!

Craigslist is free of charge. Your advertisement does need to be approved before it is posted, however. The entire approval process is easy and actually takes very little time. Since time is so valuable when you open a dollar store, this is a great advantage.
Craigslist can be a great place to start your excess inventory selling efforts. This is especially true for discount and dollar plus stores where pricing is over a dollar. When you are faced with quickly liquidating inventory, consider Craigslist as one of the options. You just might very impressed with the results.
To Your Dollar Store Success!

Direct Selling Online - An Insider's View

by Wesley Lynx

A Direct Selling online business, also called Direct Sales, is one of the most profitable ways to start an online business. One of the primary benefits is the freedom to decide what your paycheck will be. You are rewarded financially for how smart you work, not how hard.
There are a many misconceptions between direct selling online and MLM companies. Although they are both related to selling they are not the same. Most MLM affiliates are marketing products that are not high-ticket items, therefore providing smaller commissions. In MLM you are also required to build a very large downline in order to make the type of money people dream about. This can take anywhere from 2-10 years. However, in direct selling online, the compensation plans enable affiliates to beginning earning large commissions immediately. This enables affiliates to begin turning their annual income into their monthly income fairly quickly.
In order to be successful in direct selling online, there are several key components to look for when selecting which company to work with. First and foremost one should find a team that has experience, support and a proven system in place. Although many teams claim to have these components, it's essential to do your own research.
As a new entrepreneur, you will save yourself time and money by following the leaders on your team. Leaders have already spent their time and money discovering what works and what is not successful. Individuals who take this advice to heart, are able to propel themselves further along in their business, than those who insist on "doing it their own way."

World famous finance and business experts Donald Trump and Robert Kiyosaki recently released a book titled, Why We Want You To Be Rich. This book dedicates an entire chapter to direct sales and direct selling online. Both Trump and Kiyosaki state that beginning your entrepreneurial career in direct sales can be one of the best decisions a new entrepreneur can make. An individual can plug into a system and receive all the real-world business training they need to be successful, for a very reasonable cost. Once an individual has established himself or herself in direct selling online, they have the experience required to take their business enterprise to the next level where the sky is the limit!

Starting An Online Business - What You Need To Do To Get It Up And Running

by Diamonique Fortune

As you may have noticed, starting an online business is a little more complex than starting a "real world" business. That is because your business will be operated from cyberspace, and not from a physical location per se. This is the main reason for the confusion you and most beginners may have when attempting to start an online business.
Even if you know nothing about business, you know that with a "real world" business, there are certain "physical" steps you can take to get your business up and running quickly if you wanted to. For instance, with an offline business, you come up with your business concept and name, obtain a business license, choose your product or service, select the location where you will operate your business, establish telephone service, print business cards, flyers, catalogs, etc., and advertise your business. Voila, you're ready to do business.
With an online business however, you can do all these things if you want, but it's not necessary. But, since your business will be located on the Internet, in cyberspace, the steps are different from the ones you take with an offline or "real world" business. With an online business, you will need to have an Internet address or URL (Uniform Resource Locator) -- a business name that ends with .com, .net, .org, .info, .biz, etc. This tells the world where your business information or website is located.
Your business will need to have web space for you to display your products and services in cyberspace for others around the world to do business with you. What that means is either you or someone else will have to design a website for you to get your business online.

If you are limited in your knowledge of computers and the Internet, and know absolutely nothing about html, web design, keywords, and search engines, this can delay you getting your online business started, and up and running.
The technical knowledge that's required to get your business online, are the obstacles you face when deciding to start an online business and make money. This can be very frustrating, if you have a great business idea that can make you a lot of money.
The three quickest ways to starting an online business and get it up and running is:
1. Hire a web designer to design your website for you.
2. Purchase or obtain a free WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) software and create your own website.
3. Purchase a website template, and using an html editor, edit the template to your liking. This will require some knowledge of html.
Using either one of these ways will get your business online, once you purchase web space, and upload your files to your host server. Once you have a website, then you need to begin to market your online business and drive traffic or visitors to it. There are many ways you can do this, but it will require ongoing study and learning.
Understanding how the search engines work in relation to keywords, and how this relates to people finding your online business and eventually buying from you, will determine whether your online business will be a success.
What it all boils down to is synergy -- effectively combining the use of the search engines, the right keywords, and the most cost effective and successful marketing strategy to drive targeted traffic to your website together at the same time, to make a lot of money with your online business.

Golden Rules To Starting An Online Business

by Kieran Philip

Naturally you will need some degree of knowledge about internet marketing in order for your business to be a success but by all means you do not need a PhD in marketing.
All you really need is a basic knowledge of how computers work and the determination to succeed.
I have written below some basic advice that you absolutely need to follow to even stand a chance of being successful.
1) write down what you hope to achieve from having an online business
Here Are Some questions you really need to ask yourself when doing this: Why do I want to start up an interactive business?
- What will my product or service is?
- How much knowledge do I have about my product or service
- what do I know about my competition
- Where I am going to find all of my customers / prospects
Remember to actually write these questions and answers down onto paper so that you can refer to them throughout the duration of your interactive business.
2) you need to choose a product or service that you intend to sell to your clients. By browsing the internet it is possible to find hundreds of products and services you can sell. The internet makes it possible for you to buy a product or service with resell rights, this means you can purchase a product and then have the legal rights to resell it at your own price and keep 100% of the profits. When selling your product or service do not put your personal financial gains first, put the customer first instead and make sure you deliver a good high quality product to your client, this will possibly create further business from that customer in the long run.
3) When you own an interactive business you will need a website (this will act as your "shop"). Every website has what's called a "domain name", this is what people will type into their internet browser to get to your "shop".
You really need to think carefully when choosing your domain name, its needs to be as short as possible i.e. Google.com or yahoo.com and it needs to be remember able.
4) Your website! Having a good website is absolutely essential; this is your very first impression to your customer. It has been proven that when a customer visits a website they make their mind up as to continue browsing in the first 4 seconds.
Some of the components of your website that you need to think about include:

-Products And Services
-Contact Information
-Pricing
-Testimonials
- Frequently Asked Questions
-Resources & Articles
-Refund Policy
-Privacy Policy
-About Us page
5) What website hosting company should I use? A Web host is a company that provides server space for your website. The web host provides space for your website just as a commercial building provides space for your shop or office.
Below is a few thinks you need to look at and take into consideration when deciding on a webhost,
- Web Space
- Bandwidth allotment
- Reliability and speed of access
6) When customers want to purchase your product or service from your website they need somewhere to go that is secure for them to enter their payment details. PayPal is the internet's Number 1 payment processor, it is internationally recognised, its 100% safe and traceable and it deposits money into your bank immediately. I strongly recommend using PayPal.
7) How do I promote my new interactive business?
Write An Article: the very first thing you want to do is brand your product or service and let as many people as possible know that it exists. An article is great for this.
Directories: List your site here too. Directories organize sites into categories. Good examples of Directories: Yahoo, Magellan.
Ezine Listings: If you have an e-zine to promote along with your site. Why not list it with one of the many e-zine services on the Internet. E-zine Library is a good one to start with.
Free Classifieds: You will have to submit to a ton of FREE classifieds to get any significant traffic. Why? You are competing with thousands of other Ads. Remember to work on your Ad copy and make it attention grabbing. Go to one of the popular search engines, type in Free Classifieds, and surf to the top 20 classified sites for beginners.
FFA Pages: Free For All's are worth a try. Be prepared for a avalanche of e-mails from FFA web site owners. If your title is attention grabbing you will get a few clicks. Good Attention grabbing headlines, FREE, Limited Time, Limited Offer, Proven, Secrets, and many more if you brainstorm.
Tell Friends and Family: If your friends, family, acquaintances, have an Internet Connection, e-mail them telling them about your new website, and ask them to visit often. Offer a FREE incentive if they tell a few friends to surf over.
8) You need to track how many visitors you are getting to your website, how many visitors opt in to my free newsletter of free gift, if you decide to email people, how many of them actually visit your website? These are all questions you need to ask yourself and find out, this way to are able to see where you should devote your marketing efforts too.
9) Final note. A strong word of advice, take your initial six months as a training period, i would be very surprised if you became a huge success in this short time, unless you had someone like me training you. Just remember, even people like me had to start some where, it took me at least one year to become successful so patience and strong determination are really required.
If you are really serious about becoming successful as an interactive marketer i really suggest find someone like me (i am not being bias you can choose anyone) to coach you. I hope this information helps, keep your eye out for more of my postings.

Patience in Online Business - It is Virtue

by Sherrie Brownfield

Patience, some have more than others, but in business, it is a virtue we all must obtain.
Most of the time people start an online business to make money. Well, we know of course, that we have to spend some money in order to make some money. This can be tricky in knowing where to spend one's money (that is another article in itself). Perhaps even trickier at times can be having the patience to wait for that constant flow of traffic that we all long for. This is where patience becomes a true virtue.
It can take up to 90 days or longer for some to see consistent results. This is many times why there are those program hoppers out there. They don't see results quickly and they think, "this program doesn't work." So they move on to the next one. This becomes very costly in the long run. It is better to continue investing what you can into one business until it really gets off the ground.

As quoted from an article that was sent to me recently "...patience is an essential ingredient for online business success. Without it, you can give up too soon. Very few people achieve online success immediately so you need to be willing to wait until you get the results you want. This is why persistence and patience go hand in hand. Keep moving towards your goals and be willing to be patient until you reap the rewards you desire."
Patience Brings Prosperity

How to Use Wikipedia For Your Research

by Dario Borghino

"Welcome to Wikipedia, the encyclopedia that anyone can edit" recites the banner on the front page of the site. That doesn't sound like something a student looking for accurate information for his research wants to hear, but that surely doesn't mean Wikipedia is not a valuable site, with plenty of resources that can often help you find objective information.
It's true: any user, even anonymous, can potentially edit almost every article to add or delete information at his discretion and, whether intentionally or not, meaningfully decrease its quality. However, with just a little bit of attention on your side, you can easily work around this defect -- which, after all, didn't stop Wikipedia from rapidly becoming the largest repository of human knowledge on the Internet -- to extract valuable and unbiased information from almost every article.
How to recognize an unbiased article from one that may not be? Even in what seems a well-written piece, you usually can't be sure that each and every single sentence in it contains correct statements. As a rule of thumb, try looking at the number of references compared to the article length. A long article with few references is likely to have been written recently by very few users, which means the matter hasn't quite been discussed and reviewed properly yet, while one with many references is much more likely to contain correct statements.

The other main factor to take into consideration are the so called 'meta-data' associated to it. Wikipedia, just like many other wikis, offers a number of pages related to the article itself which very often help you decide on whether you should trust its content or not.
To sum up, the main factors to take into consideration are:
1) the article length;
2) {number of references} / {article length} ratio;
3) its protection policy;
4) the date of creation;
5) the article history;
6) the number of pictures, tables, etc.;
7) its quality rating.
Finally, you can still use Wikipedia for your research even if, all things considered, you are not too confident about the quality of the article. In cases like this, you can still use Wikipedia as a secondary source by looking at the References and External Links sections.

File Hosting - Benefits Of File Hosting Premium Account

by Shaheryar Saleem

The Internet is a jungle, you can't get enough of it. Many of us are very much addicted to movies, games, music, reading books etc, and that's why we are all in hunger of getting these stuffs. In this article I will tell you the benefits of having a premium account of major file-hosting websites.
A file-hosting company allows users to upload their stuffs and after that, files can be downloaded via a free account or a premium account. I will not be discussing about free accounts here as a premium account holds a lot of things which a free account cannot give to you. File-hosting websites have a large database of various files and contents like movies, songs, informational videos, ebooks and more which you won't be able imagine, they have tons of files which can be downloaded easily if you have a premium account.
Below are the most important benefits of having a premium account of File Hosting Website:

· Super-Fast servers, maximum speed while downloading.
· Ability of using downloading managers like IDM, Flashget, DAP for downloading files.
· No waiting, you'll be able to download files immediately.
· Direct download links available, just put the links and it will be automatically downloaded if you want to.
· Extra server-slots will be also available for premium users.
· Download as much as you want, no file-size limit.
· Back-up your files, when you upload a file as a premium user, your uploaded file will not delete until you delete it by yourself.
· Full-prior dedicated support, get instant reply from their staff.
Besides all these points, don't forget file-hosting websites are having the largest database of files all around the internet, so your downloading hunger would not vanish. Rapidshare premium account costs around $11 / month and $86 / year, I would personally prefer to have a full one-year premium account if you are very sticky to downloads.

The Mistakes I Made in My First Year Online

by Valerie Dansereau

My website is just over a year old, so I've been reflecting on my first year and the mistakes I made. I think at the top of the list would have to be the fact that I didn't ask this question of other marketers:
What would you do differently in your first year if you knew then what you know now?
Here are my own answers to that question:
1) Trying to go in too many directions at once. In my first year of internet marketing, I was like a kid in a candy store. I could see and smell success all around me and I knew I wanted some, so I tried a little of this and a little of that. End result - not a lot of progress. I switched lanes way too often. Sort of like following one car for several blocks, then choosing to follow a different car on a whim. Needless to say, you don't reach a destination that way.
2) Being a serial buyer. Along the same lines, I was intrigued with way too many products, many of which were useless. I wish I could have back some of the money that I spent foolishly so that I could spend it with forethought and planning.
3) Not sticking close enough my mentors. I have a couple of people that are at the core of any success I have achieved. At the top of the list is Ken Evoy, the brains behind Site Build It. If you purchase a site through Site Build It, one fringe benefit is an incredible forum full of very experienced and helpful people (many of whom have sites in the top 1% of all websites). In fact, the forum alone is probably worth the price of SBI.

Another example of sticking close to people that are willing to teach you, Napoleon Hill in "Think and Grow Rich" talks about needing a Master Mind group - in other words, putting your head together with others who have similar goals. Or in his words, he defines the Master Mind as "Coordination of knowledge and effort, in a spirit of harmony, between two or more people, for the attainment of a definite purpose."
An old friend of mine used to say, "A smart man learns from his mistakes. A smarter man learns from the mistakes of others." I probably didn't have to make all the mistakes I made, if I had only listened to those with more experience.
4) Not using a daily or weekly planner. I rely way too much on my brain. I expect myself to remember things, and often I let myself down. When I sit down to work, I find myself often wasting time "warming up" because I don't remember where I left off or what I was trying to accomplish. This is one big thing that I am working on in the coming year - making out a schedule for the coming week at the beginning of the week, so I remember exactly where I'm trying to go.
Mistakes aren't all bad - they always offer lessons. Or as John Powell said, "The only real mistake is the one from which we learn nothing." I'm looking forward to a better year because of the mistakes I made last year.

The Secret To Getting Rich Online

by J. R. Thompson

What would you say if I told you that I am about to tell you the secret of getting rich online and not charge you one red cent? BS, right? Well, I am going to give you just that! There's nothing you have to buy to do it, there's no special talent you need to do it. All you need is an open mind, a willingness to learn, and a willingness to work towards your goals (and I'm not talking about 80 hours a week unless that's just what you want).
What Do You Want
Do you want to work from home? Do you want freedom from your job? Do you want to make enough to live the life that YOU want? All of these things are possible and I am going to show you how. You might be thinking to yourself now, well why aren't you selling this in an ebook or something? The answer is that I don't think people should be ripped off and have to pay for information that's freely available to anyone who seeks it. Zig Ziglar, one of the most successful sales trainers in the world said this best. He said "If you help enough people get what they want in life, you will get what you want in life". Remember that statement from Mr. Ziglar because this is the essence of how we make money in any endeavor.
So Who Am I
First of all, let me tell you that I am just a regular guy. I have no PHD, or special training. Everything I'm going to tell you I've learned by reading, learning, and taking action. I've also purchased my share of those amazing products that promise you $1000's per week, 6 figure incomes, etc. only to find out that you had to spam people, or invest $1000's of your own money. I am no different than you, and been had plenty of times myself.

What Is The Secret To Getting Rich Online
Before we go any further lets get make one thing completely clear, THIS IS NOT A GET RICH QUICK SCHEME. If this is what you are looking for you might as well stop reading now, and surf the internet for another scam that claims to do that. On the other hand, if you are serious keep reading!
There are 4 basic steps to making money in any business and these are:
1. Learn and understand how we make money
2. Create a plan for making the money
3. Set goals
4. Take action
Seems pretty simple doesn't it? Let's go over these steps in a little detail (Note: My newsletter goes into much more detail on these topics, and takes you step by step through each process).
1. We make money with a barter, or a trade of one thing for another. This is usually in the form of a product or service in exchange for money. In order for this exchange to happen so people like you and I can make money we have to have something of value that another person is willing to exchange their money for. So the first part of the secret is we need a customer to whom we can sell something of value to, and more precisely, something they think is valuable. Now most people would immediately go out and start looking for some product THEY think is valuable. Think about this for a minute. Does it matter more that I think a product has value, or the person I want to sell it to thinks it has value? Well, the person you're selling to of course. This is VERY important because you will never get a person to give you their money for something only you think has value. So the lesson here is that we need to identify our customer first, and understand what he or she feels is valuable to them.
2. Creating and implementing the plan is where most the work takes place, and where most folks stumble. They go out and sign up for all kinds of affiliate programs, try to sell with adwords, etc., but they have no plan that outlines the steps they will take to produce and reproduce the results that make them money. If your first plan does not perform as expected, analyze it, modify it, and try again. Thomas Edison tried more than a 100 times to make a light bulb before he succeeded using Tungsten. Here we are talking about making money online, and there TONS of FREE resources out there. You can join my newsletter for FREE and I will show you how to create a plan, FREE OF CHARGE.
3. Goals are absolutely necessary! I can't say enough how important this is. Many people overlook this step as they think to themselves "I know what I want, I don't need to write it down". Wrong! You must write them down and review them often. Tape them to your bedroom ceiling if you have to! When you reach one goal, set another. Create long term goals as well as short term goals. Above all, make your goals attainable.
4. Take Action! No one can do this but you. All the good intentions in the world accomplish nothing if you don't take action. Everything is so fast paced these days, and oriented around instant gratification. We want fast food, fast cars, fast access, fast lanes, etc. You get the idea. A word to the wise. Your fortunes won't come to you overnight unless you are very, very, very lucky. But if you take action, consistent action, you will succeed.
An Example
If you're going to sell products and services over the internet as an affiliate marketer your plan would include: Identifying your market and your customer, finding a product to market, deciding on a method by which you will market (Free techniques, Paid techniques), keyword research, etc. And a realistic goal might be to have 4 campaigns running in your first month, make $1000 per month by your 3rd month, and so on.
Conclusion
Although the steps above seem easy, there is obviously a lot more that can be said around making money online, and a lot more that you need to learn. Much more information than I can put into one article. Subscribe to the newsletter below for step by step information on how to succeed in making money online. It's FREE, there is nothing you have to buy to be successful online. Remember the quote from Zig Zigler "If you help enough people get what they want in life, you will get what you want in life". You see, I have a vested interest in whether or not you succeed. I want you to succeed, because if you are successful, I will be successful. It's a Win-Win solution.
The question now is: What do you want?

What Is Residual Income And How Do You Earn This?

by Ramiro Trevino

Did you know you can earn a very healthy residual income through the Internet without really investing any money? Yes, there are many methods in which you could harness the Internet to literally work for you. It does involve hard work initially and a lot of time and effort; however, where else can you set up a business with literally zero investment? While reading this you might be thinking that this is something only those who are proficient at computers and the Internet could do. You are mistaken, actually anyone can succeed with online business whether they are internet wizards or plain novices.
Three methods are briefly discussed in this article, but you need to know that there are plenty more out there waiting to be discovered and implemented. If you want to earn online without investing any money, you can do so provided you are ready to work hard to see it happen. You also need to be patient enough to keep at it until it succeeds. Lastly you need to be a fast learner. The first and most widespread method to earn a steady residual income is by joining a reputed affiliate program.
An affiliate program is a marketing system where you gear yourself to sell somebody's product for a commission which is paid from their profits. If you already have a website, choose an affiliate program that is closely connected to your website as this would make it easy for you to sell that product and thereby earn you a continuous residual income. For example, if your website is about anti-aging home recipes it would be good if you join an affiliate that sells say, collagen creams or wrinkle erasers. If you chose to promote pet food, it would be tough on you to generate sales through your anti-aging website because you don't know if these people even have a dog. You need to have targeted traffic.

With affiliate programs every time you make a sale, you earn a commission. If you work hard and fill your site with quality content, market your website correctly, then you should be able to attract quality and targeted traffic. This would translate into sales, which in turn would generate your residual income.
Another great way of earning a steady residual income is by selling info-products in digital format which can be downloaded by the buyer. You need to ensure that your product offers highly valued information for which the seller would be happy to pay. Making an info-product requires an one-time investment of your time and effort and once it is finalized you could sell as many copies as you would like without incurring any extra costs.
The third method of earning a residual income is using Google AdSense ads on your website. While this will not make you a great income right away, with time and traffic you would be able to generate a steady income just for renting your space to Google ads. You won't get rich through this last method, but you would definitely have something you can count upon at the end of the month, provided your traffic is significant.
As you can see, Internet can help you earn money with no down cash payment. Is that not an amazing opportunity?

Three Things to Look for in an Online Work at Home Opportunity

by Lesley Jackson

As a successful internet marketer, I have been exposed to failure. In that failure I have been able to tell others what to look for before investing in any home based opportunity, no matter how little the investment is. The following represent the three crucial elements to any work at home opportunity.
SUPPORT. A traditional job has its levels of support. For example, a customer service representative has a team leader who bears more knowledge or resources to knowledge than the representative. The team leader usually has a similar manager in support of that position. Each level of support lessens the burden of the customer service representative having to know everything. This is what you want in a home based business.
When you work at home online, it is up to you to make your business work-no matter what your sponsor tells you. Be sure your opportunity has updated training materials and resources. The superior opportunities will let you preview the training in advance of you coming on board...just ask how.

TRACKING. You will need traffic to your prospect-pulling website, and this will entail a variety of methods, to your suitability. You must be able to track which methods work best to avoid frustration and wasted time.
ALTERNATIVES. Due to the various desire and skill levels, you need an opportunity that will allow you to do more than "pump the opportunity". Superior online work at home businesses offer products for your use and possible resale to leverage your income possibilities.
Regardless of how you choose to do it, the important thing to remember is that you can earn cash online. The market will not become saturated because there are new internet users and new internet products and services every single day. So jump right in and enjoy your success as I am enjoying mine.

Internet Travel Super Site Arrives

by Harry R. G. Becker

A quick flash back 80 years or so. First you had the mom and pop grocery store. That gave way to the much larger grocery chain store. Then, in the not too distant past, the Super Store chain store was birthed. With the speed of the Internet we now have the Travel Industry Internet version. It is the Travel, Hotels, Vehicles, Cruises, Tours, Super Site. It is not some futuristic concept. It is here and has been operational for several year already. It is so new though that many people are not aware of it or what it can do for them.
Here are a few of the many things that are now available through using a Internet Travel, Hotels, Vehicles, Cruises, Tours, Super Site from the comfort of your home or anywhere in the world that you may be. And of course, it is available 24/7/365 since the Internet NEVER SLEEPS!

Super Stores are flourishing throughout America for several reasons. The first is convenience to the customer. They are located in areas where they can usually serve thousands of customers rather than a few hundred. Because of the huge volume of business they do in everything that they sell, their suppliers give them a huge discount of which part is passed on to the customer. It is a win, win business and consumer relationship. Consolidation of procedures and help also offers big cost savings to the Super Store. These are precisely the reasons for the birth of the Internet Travel, Hotels, Vehicles, Cruises, Tours, Super Site.
The benefits to the consumer seem to far outweigh some of the always present fault finders complaints. See for yourself what this is all about. It is like the personal home computer coming on the scene back in the late 1980s. Some people, including my 70 year old sister, still refuse to get one and join the computer generation. I guess that she hopes it is just a passing fancy. Folks, you know the personal computer is not going away and either is the Super Store chain store or for that matter the new Internet Travel, Hotels, Vehicles, Cruises, Tours, Super Site.
Put your pride on a shelf because you cannot do everything in life by yourself. Ask and you will receive the help that you need.
God bless you with an overflowing abundance of good health, love, happiness, success, prosperity, and a bright new future and lifestyle that you will allow yourself to have.

Making Money Online - NOT!

by Julia Bryan

Since I've spent literally months on my computer trying to figure out how to make money on-line, I figured I might save someone else from making the same mistakes I have. (Actually, if you count my time on eBay and etsy, it would be years!) So, if you'd like to learn how to make money on-line, here is what NOT to do!
First - I've sold vintage jewelry on ebay, and made hand-crafted artisan jewelry which I sold on etsy. I spent tons of time learning to get great jewelry photos, write great copy, and display my pieces to maximum benefit - and still didn't generate any kind of steady, reliable income. I worked VERY hard to get my ebay store listed on the first page of their listing of stores which sold vintage jewelry - I had to have over 600 items listed to get there - and it still wasn't enough to make a decent income!
So, when ebay raised their fees about two years ago, I closed the store because it wasn't even marginally profitable to keep it open. I joined etsy because I'd starting making jewelry - again, too much competition and not enough sales volume to make any kind of steady income. Then, my computer crashed and burned. . . .
It was about eight months before I could afford another computer, and I did some hard thinking. I've got an extensive work background with a varied experience base, and I felt I should be able to utilize that to make money on-line. . .somehow! So, once I got another computer, I started searching - and searching, and searching! So many of the offers that promised a great income seemed like scams, I really didn't try anything until I came across an article from Consumer Guides. I decided to try one of the companies that they said produced good results.

Wow! Talk about information overload! I had no idea there was so much involved in actually getting set up to generate internet-based income! I read up on Google Adwords - boy, you could spend a ton if lots of people clicked on your adwords but didn't buy your product! Adsense made more sense to me - but I'd have to have a website to use it. Hmmmm. . . . How do I figure out what kind of website to set up? What's going to bring paying customers with cold, hard cash, and how do I convince them to part with some of it?
So, I set about studying and working my way through some of the projects. I set up a blog, added an affiliate site, and signed up for Google Adsense, then wrote an article to help bring prospects to my blog. Nothing. Well, maybe it didn't help that I hadn't done thorough keyword research, since my blog and article are about a subject that only appeals to a small group of people! Next project; I set up a website (free hosting) and spent hours a day for nearly a week finding sellers with affiliate programs that were related to my subject - investing on-line! Then I got a bit further along in my studies, and learned that having too many "sales pitches" on one page was a no-no. Oops - back to the drawing board!
So, now I'm doing my keyword research, and planning my next venture - hopefully this time I won't have to add it to my list of "mistakes"! Oh, and I'm also working on my next article - stay tuned!

Internet Business Mistakes

by Nick Kanellopoulos

Please I don't want to listen to anymore stories about how internet technology takes out the human factor and there are turnkey machines that spit money out every nanosecond!
If this was the case, then the entire world would be full of Porches, Ferrari and billion dollar ranches! Whether we like it or not the whole commerce idea begins with a man and ends with a man! There are many people out there who seem to have set their goal in life to convince you that you are nothing without buying the latest money making system they created! See here, THEY created it not some sort of a slave machine!
It just takes one human to build it and one to buy it! In the future when R2D2s will acquire credit cards and money power we can talk again about it!
Till then, please bear in mind that original thinking - and sometimes not so original but you get the point! - is the starting point of any internet business.

That's why one of the fundamental reasons for internet business mistakes that lead to failure is the misguided belief that "if I get the top tech program I will rule the world"!
Stick to the basics people, learn something new everyday, explore and experiment and you are on the right road!
When you have built a foundation then start to look elsewhere and absorb "hi-tech" in your business.
Machines and systems are great products but it's your brain that is essential in this race !!!

Just started to explore the "how to earn money from home" industry and writing about my experiences. Right now I joined the Reverse Funnel System - you can check it at http://www.cash2internet.com - Check my blog at http://nikane.wordpress.com

Internet Consumer Segmentation

by Ankit Garg

Customer Segmentation is a common jargon in marketing. It is said that every company should first segment its customers, choose the target segment and then should aim to satisfy their needs.
In this web 2.0 era when businesses are going online and the e-commerce is increasing its share in the whole trade dramatically, the question arises:
Do the companies know how to segment the customers on the basis of their internet usage pattern?
or
Do they assume that "All visitors are created equally" ?
or
Has there been any research done to understand internet consumers based on their usage pattern?
If companies don't have this primary information, how are they expected to do business?
How are they supposed to leverage the benefits of the internet?
The answer is being provided by a study conducted by Mckinsey and Media Metrix which identifies internet consumer segmentation for the first time on their usage patterns.
According to the study, the different categories along with their short descriptions are:
1) Simplifiers : "End-to-End" Convenience seeking people. They spend on an average 7 hours per month but have the longest tenure online. Therefore if an internet marketer wants to have sustained sales from this segment, they must provide end-to-end convenience such as ease of access, availability of information etc.
2) Surfers : Logs in with a specific purpose in mind- buying gifts for example. According to the study, they constitute 8% of the active user population but account for 32% of the online time.To attract and keep Surfers, a site needs cutting-edge design and features, constant updates, a strong online brand, and an assortment of products and services.

3) Connectors : As the name implies, they use the internet to connect with people through different means. Although Connectors account for 36% of the active user population, 40% of them have been online less than two years, and just 42% have made purchases online (versus an average of 61%).
4) Bargainers : These people are driven by quest for deals. 52% of eBay visitors is constituted by this category. To extract sales from this segment, the site must not only appeal to them on rational level but also on emotional level, satisfying their need for competitive pricing, the excitement of the "search," and the desire for community.
5) Routiners : They primarily go to internet for information. As the name implies these folks are routine visitors who are suckers for news. These people visit fewer domains but spend almost twice the time per page than others do. Routiners want superior content and the sense they are getting "something special."
6) Sportsters : Uses internet mainly for sports and entertainment related information. They spend on an average of 7.1 hours( versus 9.8 average). The challenge for companies is to turn this use into revenue, usually by moving visitors from "free" content to a paid subscription.
As it is clear from the study that each has different needs and usage pattern thereby giving a glimpse into their behavior. And therefore the knowledge of these behaviors provide an advantage to online marketers to target their customers in a much better optimized manner.

The Future Is Now With Online Business

by Keith Ng Yc

Not many people realize that the future of business is Online Business. Once that richest man on earth said, the future business is internet business. When we looked back in 1996, which is the born of World Wide Web, and thereafter in 2008 now, within just 12 years of advancement, we have seen tremendous improvement and changes in every aspect of our life. Do you have what it takes to ride on this life changing wave?
Internet related business is the future business; it is no doubt about it. However, the most important basic of starting your own internet business is having your own website. Thus, you need to know the advantages of creating websites and how to benefits from them. The following are the main benefits of having your own online websites.
(1) Worldwide and local exposure with 24/7 accessibility
The worldwide exposure of a website can help your business to reach a massive potential customer base that you never can imagine. Your website expands the geographic reach of your business. Anyone around the world can visit your website, anytime and anywhere. Your website is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week and your clients will have instant immediate access to your products and services, without you being there. Imagine your business is like a chain store of 7-Eleven that operate 24 hours everyday all over the globe!

(2) Cost effective communication medium
Using a website, now you can communicate easily and effectively with your current customers to build stronger relationships as well as your own community. However, to do this, it won't cost you a fortune. A complete website system can be set up for as little as $300. Besides that, updating your website is inexpensive, and sometimes it cost you nothing because nowadays many websites are built with CMS (Customer Management System) platform, where updating and modifying websites are simple dead easy.
(3) Effective and auto pilot business tool
Your website can be easily integrated with much auto pilot software such as auto responder and blog content management software, which all of them can put your business into auto pilot mode without hassle. Website also gives credibility to a business by giving it a cutting-edge corporate appeal. Your websites can also be used to generate leads and encourage commercial activities.
In a nutshell, a professionally designed website offers your business more worldwide exposures, improves the effectiveness of all your advertisement campaign, expand your credibility as well as expanding your market and potentially giving you more growth.

Setting Up An Online Business - 3 Mistakes To Avoid

by Kelly Hart

Setting up an online business is a very exciting time but many people don't stop and think about all the legal things they need to do to make sure that your new business is protected.
Here are a few mistakes that people make that you should avoid........
1.The way you set up your business structure is very important. There are many ways to set it up and choosing the wrong business structure could hurt you. With the wrong structure in place, you could be held personally liable for something bad that happens in your business. In many states, someone could go after your house, car, etc to satisfy a judgment against you. So make sure you get good expert advice on the best way to set up your business.

2. Be careful who you are outsourcing your work to. When you start a business, you will need a web designer, programmer, and even possibly someone to write articles for you if your business is in affiliate marketing. These people, after all, will have access to your confidential information and you need to be protected. Be sure and find out what you need to do before you run into any problems.
3. Don't get caught spamming! Spamming is such a huge problem and sometimes you can unknowingly be sending out emails that you think are fine but that would be legally considered spam. So, know the laws and then you won't become an "accidental spammer".
When setting up an online business, be sure and take the extra time and make sure your business is protected!

Internet Money Making Opportunities

by Nick Kanellopoulos

Mmmmmmm! What's with this madness about internet money making opportunity systems? Let's assume that someone could actually estimate the brain power that is generated every second worldwide on how to use internet and make money. And then let's think about getting in a way this power and channel it to another field, for example medicine. Well correct if I am wrong but the result will be ... IMMORTALITY people!
Every disease would had been defeated and all doctors would be begging on the streets, unemployed and poor! This goes to say that there is a tremendous amount of manpower, woman power, brains and time consumed for a single purpose : MONEY? I am not so sure about it!!! "Are you nuts? What is it then for? Greater well-being? Or For World Peace maybe?" No I think the reason is just RESPECT. Every single person craves for respect, others' recognition and sometimes just a "nice comment"! You should be aware that even repulsive murders have been committed for the above reason. Many of you might state that "I would take my billions and disappear from the face of the earth" but ...would you? Really?

After you would satisfied some humble needs- a yacht, a mansion in Fiji and a personal lear jet- the need for socialization would knock on your door! That's why people live together in societies and not in caves up the Rocky Mountains( are there any caves there?)! My point here is that the huge number of people pursuing the "internet money making opportunity" online is totally justifiable and has been happening since the dawn of civilization in various forms! The results though of this tremendous effort sometimes can be like the movie "There Will Be Blood" where the "oil/money rush" transforms personalities and people into hungry beasts. Other times the only result would be a non-stopping repetition of the words "Honey how come our credit cards reached limit-up again?" And finally the words that many of us want to hear "Sir, your jacuzzi is ready"!

Just started to explore the "how to earn money from home" industry and writing about my experiences. Right now I joined the Reverse Funnel System - you can check it at http://www.cash2internet.com - and I am going to write a review of many popular systems.

The Insanity Of Not Having At Least A Basic Website

by Tim Gross

I tried to order take-out tonight from a new Mexican restaurant in town. I'd heard it was good but had never been there, so I didn't have a menu to order from. I searched online for their website, but couldn't find one. I called them and asked if their menu was online - nope. Finally, I had them fax me their menu.
These days it's just crazy not to have at least a basic website if you own a traditional storefront, restaurant, or service. It's so cheap, it's so easy, and more and more, customers are looking online for you. Make sure they find you. Here's how...
A couple points:
* If a potential customer is just considering visiting your restaurant, they're probably not going to go to the trouble to have you fax them the menu. -They'll just order from somewhere else.
* Most residential homes do not have fax machines.
This restaurant has been open for several months now. They have no way of gaging how much new business they've lost by not having a simple website with their menu, restaurant hours, directions, location, etc.
If the cost of creating a simple website was, say, $5,000 or $20,000, they could be excused for thinking that it may not be worth the investment right away. But we're talking about minor expense here.
Costs:
To register a domain name for a year is $10-$15.
Hosting the domain can cost as little as under $100/year.

Paying one of your waiters or a local high school kid to create a 1-page website with your restaurant logo, address, phone number, and a downloadable PDF file of your menu would cost practically nothing. (You can add always add on to it later.)
Yes, it's true that it's tough for local businesses to gauge how much value a website will provide for them. But when the cost is practically zero, it's a no-brainer.
As time goes on, MORE people will be looking for your business online, not less. It's already faster for me to find a restaurant's phone number by typing in the name and city online rather than pull out the Yellow Pages Directory and start paging through, thinking, "does J come before or after H?..." :-)
It truly is a no-brainer. If you can't find a cheap local web designer, you can create your website for free using blog software like Wordpress, I've got complete free video training on my site on how to do it, there's truly no excuse!

Food for thought - Tim Gross

Increasing Your Internet Presence - Do You Exist?

by Chuck Castagnolo

Do you exist in the ether of the internet? Having a presence in the internet environment is particularly important especially in light of today's highly competitive job market. Having an internet presence means you can be found in a search, and being able to be found in a search gives you a certain amount of credibility over someone who does not have an internet presence.
When you put your name into a search engine can you be found? If the answer to that question is "No" be ready as the information that follows will forever change that answer to "Yes."
Today, many human resource department's search the internet for profiles, photos and other information, good or bad, to learn about and judge prospective new employees. So it is especially important to think about what you post as your current job or future job search could be affected accordingly. I'm sure most of us have heard of someone in the news who lost their job as a result of some unflattering information or pictures showing up on the net. So think about your internet presence as your internet resume. You wouldn't put unflattering information about yourself on your resume, don't put unflattering information about yourself out on the internet!
With that in mind, let's look first at what I call "Safety Tips" before moving on to increasing your internet presence.
Probably the most important thing you should know, if you don't already, is never to post any information about yourself you don't want the whole world to know; only post information that you are comfortable with others seeing and knowing. Never post your social security number, bank account or credit card numbers anywhere in a public internet area unless you want your identity stolen. If you have any suspicions, feel threatened or uncomfortable because of something online, report it to the police or the F.B.I. immediately.
Remember, once you post information online, you can't take it back. Even if you delete the information, older versions exist out there somewhere either on a server or on someone else's computer.
Seriously, in my own very narrow, biased and warped opinion, I recommend not even considering posting your photo. You have no idea how it can be altered. Your face could be photoshopped onto someone else's body in an unflattering position or setting, or posted in a way you may not be happy about and have no control over. And, if you are like me, dynamic and charismatic in person but look hideous in print, people may judge you by your photo and you could lose out to an interview or a job simply because someone doesn't like the way you look.
Also, many companies are doing internet searches to supplement their background checks and declining candidates based on what they find, and what they are finding is quite revealing. Like candidates lying about their qualifications, undisclosed criminal behavior, posting unflattering gossip about a former employer, boasting about drinking and doing drugs, revealing confidential information compromising a previous employer's competitive edge, provocative photographs, and even unprofessional screen names that reveal personal weekend preferences that are better left behind locked doors. So, let's try and define an internet presence. I define having an internet presence as when YOU can be found in a search. So, how do you do this? You can do it in several ways and my favorites are; listing yourself on networking sites, becoming an internet author, creating a personal website, and journaling a Blog.
You can start by listing yourself on networking sites like LinkedIn, Facebook or MySpace. There are other sites available out there, but these are the most popular. LinkedIn positions itself as a network for professionals of any age. You can post your resume, link up with past and present colleagues and associates, and probably not find any drunken party pictures.
Facebook, positioned more as a social network for professionals, typically attracts the over 30 crowd. Here you can also post a resume and link up with past and present colleagues and associates. My research on this topic indicated that you might find some drunken party pictures here.

MySpace on the other hand, is arguably the most popular social networking site on the net and is primarily aimed at people under 30. It has a wide following and is used by individuals and groups who want to widen their appeal as well as others with unique talents who want broad exposure. With a wink and a nudge I say this site is also a resource if you are looking for pictures of young people having a great time. But like I stated earlier, human resource departments search the internet for profiles, photos and other information to learn about and judge prospective new employees. So it is especially important to think about what you post as your current job or future job search could be affected accordingly. Remember, once you post information online, you can't take it back. One of my fears is many of today's young people will come to regret in their later years what they have posted in their younger years.
Next, let's take a look at becoming an internet author. In my opinion, this is one of the most important activities you can undertake to increase your internet presence. By publishing what are called "authority documents" you set up and establish yourself as an expert on your topic or subject and you become a so called "SME" or subject matter expert.
The easy part of becoming an internet author is that there are so many free internet publishing sites to choose from where you can publish your article. Just do a search with the keywords Free internet publishing and you will be presented with a cornucopia of sites eagerly awaiting your work. You will find these sites are writer friendly, easy to use, and your published articles show up in search engines a few days after acceptance and publication. Keep you eyes open, as I do when reading internet content. You will find additional publishing sites that you may not have been aware of were you could publish your work.
So how do you go about doing this? I do it this way:
Pick a topic you know something about. Research the topic on the web, in the news and at your local library. Write a draft of the article and spell check it. Then read it. Rewrite the article and spell check. Read the article again. Rewrite the article and spell check it again doing this as many times as you feel necessary until you get the article to flow just the way you want it. Then publish the article.
My advice to would-be writers is to follow the steps listed above. Unless you are a master writer, your first attempt at any article should always be viewed as the first of several drafts. The last thing you want to happen to your fledgling internet authoring career is to be banned from a free publishing site for the poor quality of the writing.
Creating a personal website is also another great way to increase your internet presence. As suggested above in internet publishing, do a search with the keywords Free web hosting and you will be presented with many free web hosting sites. In the beginning days of the Internet, one needed to be schooled in the likes of HTML, a computer code designed to have your site show up a certain way. Today, free web hosted sites are extremely easy to set up; select your format, point, click, write, paste and create a very professional site that shows up in search engines a few days after its creation.
You can also increase your sites' searchability by submitting it to the major search engine crawlers. Go to the sites' Site Explorer page and enter your web page URL into the appropriate box. This will tell the search engine that your site is out there and available for others to search rather than waiting for web crawlers to stumble upon it.
You can also increase your Internet presence by creating and journaling a Blog. It has been estimated that over 1.6 million blog posts are created everyday and I have read that search engines find Blogs very easily. With that in mind, one could surmise that journaling a Blog is a very good way to increase your internet presence.
Let's start by defining a Blog. A Blog is a noun which is short for Web log; a web page that serves as a publicly accessible, personal online journal were readers have the ability to leave comments in an interactive format.
Typically, Blogs are updated daily and may even be updated almost immediately depending on the site. People who Blog write in a conversational manner, and the posts are usually listed in a chronological order with the most recent additions first. If you are familiar with posting on Internet Forums, you will be right at home in a Blog.
You'll find, like creating your personal web site, a Blog is also very easy to create. Again, search with the keywords Free Blog hosting and you will be presented with many free Blog hosting sites which are easy to set up. Just as in setting up your personal web site, you just select your format, point, click, write, paste and create a very professional Blog that will show up in search engines a few days after its creation.
Next, link all of your sites and articles together. The one most important attribute to increasing your internet presence is to make sure your name is in everything you post. Now link your networking sites, articles, web site and Blog together by including the URL's from each one in all of your other sites and articles. This way, as people read your article, they just have to click on the links to go to your other postings. The idea is that whenever someone puts your name into a search engine, everything that you have out there comes back with your name. Now that is Internet presence!
So, be careful of what you post and how you say it. Now go out there and post, post, post.

For those reasons, affiliate programs are perfect for starting an online business. It allows you to focus on marketing. Marketing is an area where many business owners fail. It is the most time consuming (and most important) part of your business. If you are using affiliate products, marketing is your only job; everything else is taken care of for you.

Will you be using articles, free ads, classified ads, solo ads, forums, pay per click programs, or email campaigns. If you can write a good article, it can bring in a lot of traffic and make you money. Other programs, like pay per click, are less time intensive, but require some sort initial investment.
Regardless of which marketing methods you choose, set up a schedule. Plan on committing a certain amount of time to your business and work at it every day. By sticking to your plan and working hard, your online business can be very profitable and can make you more money than you imagined.
