Now mind you, that doesn't mean you can walk into your boss's office, drop off your resignation letter, and tell him to pound sand just yet...that comes later. But, you know that while your day job will make you a living, your online business will make you a fortune. Right?
So the challenge is to raise the money to start your business as soon as possible. The methods I am about to teach you will do just that, PLUS generate recurring monthly savings that will become your advertising budget.
Step 1: Where is My Money Going Now?
The simplest and best way of making money is to reduce your costs. But you may already only be buying what you need! So, we are going to reduce our costs WITHOUT sacrificing the goods/services that we need. But first, what ARE our costs?
Exercise: Take out last month's bank statement and credit card bills. Itemize each of your major costs. Your list may look something like this:

It is simply astonishing how almost every company utilizes competitive bidding, and yet how few households do! For every item we listed up there, there are dozens, hundreds, or thousands of different companies who would love to have you as their customer!
Let's make them compete against each other, shall we?
Exercise: Find your policies for Health, Auto and Home Insurance. Find exactly what your coverages are, and your premiums. THEN, go online to a competitive bidding website, fill out your information, and request quotes from dozens of bidders! I personally use LowerMyBills and E-Health Insurance (links are provided in the resource box below). Representatives from these companies will be scrambling all over each other to provide you with their most competitive quotes, especially if you...
Tip: TELL THEM that other companies are bidding for your business! No one wants the competition to get a customer, so they will cut their margins as much as they can!
Tip: Create URGENCY by telling them that you are only accepting bids until X date, at which point you will choose the most inexpensive offer that meets your needs!
You will be astonished at how much this will reduce your monthly costs. This is a service that I perform for clients, in exchange for a % of whatever I save them, and believe me that is a pretty penny. But you don't need me to do it for you, you can do this yourself!
Savings: (will obviously vary from person to person, this is what I tend to see on average)
Savings on health insurance: $200 per month
Savings on car insurance: $100 per month
Savings on home insurance: $75 per month First-month savings on insurance: $375
Ongoing monthly savings: $375/month
Wow! That's a nice chunk of change right there towards your business. And your actual results may be much higher or much lower, but chances are that right now, unless you bid out your insurance annually, your provider is probably treating you like a 200-pound 4th-grader taking your lunch money.
Step 3: I Can Pay Less, to Save MORE?!?
Have you been reading the news about the economy? In an effort to turn around the recession, the FED has been slashing through interest rates with speed and vigor usually seen only in Japanese Samurai movies.

Take out that mortgage bill, and see what rate you are paying. 7%? 6%?
We'll use an average mortgage amount of $200,000, and assume your current interest rate is 7% at a 30 year fixed loan. Ergo, your payment is $1,330.60 per month.
Do you have any idea JUST HOW MUCH money you can save by refinancing now at a lower rate?
With the Fed rate cuts, loans at 5% are easily available. Just that 2% drop in interest will lower your payment on the SAME LOAN to $1,073.64...saving you $237 per month!!
Let's add that in...
1st-Month Savings on Refinancing at lower rate: $237
Ongoing monthly savings: $237/month
And you can roll in your closing costs to the loan, so you don't pay anything up front, and STILL be saving this much (a few thousand over a 30-year loan just knocks off about $20 per month from your savings, which is already factored in above).
Step 4: Waste Not, Want Not Now we are going to look at such a simple, obvious, and EASY way to save money, that never even occurs to most people.
What are you doing for lunch at work? Are you getting fast food, because it's easy and convenient? If so, you are spending about $6-$8 per meal!
Or do you eat out a restaurant? That gets REALLY expensive, anywhere from $10-$20 per meal or more! For this example, we will say that you are like most of working America and you eat lunch at a fast food place, spending $7 per meal.
So not only are you clogging your arteries and getting poor nutrition, but you are spending $210 per month just on lunch!!
Start bringing your lunch to work with you. Make yourself a sandwich, or whatever you please. The groceries will add up to $1-$2 per meal, if that. Let's say $2 per meal.
1st-Month Savings on Brown-bagging it for lunch: $150!!
Ongoing monthly savings: $150/month
Benefit to your health: Priceless!
And how badly do you REALLY need that $3 Mochachino from Starbucks every morning on the way to work? If you cut that out of your budget, there's another $90 per month you save!
BUT I LIKE MY FANCY STARBUCKS DRINKS AND DON'T WANT TO GIVE THEM UP!!

Make sure your keywords are targeted and the market you are going after spends money. Otherwise you will be wasting money.
The simplest and easiest way to earn online then is to take online paid surveys. Thousands of companies offer online surveys for research purposes and because this information is invaluable to them they are more than willing to offer incentives, including cash.
The next, easier method by far, would be completing surveys. Now this might look to good to be true and to be honest it is. You will need to spend LOTS of time completing tons of surveys in order to get the payouts. If you look around the internet at some Blogs, you will see a button saying something like "Digg this" or "Delic.io.us" etc. These are shortcuts to some of the 46 plus "Social Book Marking" sites that have sprung up all over the internet. If you have ever wondered what those are or why they are there read on.
What a Social Bookmarking site is about is telling other members what you have seen, liked and why you liked it, on the internet. They are extremely popular right now, so they are a SEO dream.
If you draw the attention of the community, enormous traffic will be sent to your site. even if you don't you will come across the few that will like what you have and poke around your website. The bookmarks can be categorized in virtually any topic, so you wont be sending people looking for something totally unrelated to your site.
I have mentioned in prior articles the importance of building links to your site. Each post on these Social Bookmarking sites counts as a link to you. As I said there are over forty of these sites, so you could literally put forty links to everything on your site if you had the time to visit them all, but who does?
I have come across a very cool little tool, and yes it is free, to help with all of this. There is a site called "SocialMarker" that will allow you to post to ALL of them in an almost automatic way. You simply select which Social Book Marking sites to submit to from a list. You can pick and choose, with various types of sorting, from the most popular, to those that do follow, or just one or two you want to use.
I am not talking about spamming, I hate spamming. I am talking about semi-automating what you are doing. You will still have to enter the codes to prove you are human, and work through some quirks on each site, but instead of spending hours going from site to site you are brought to each site's submit section with the fields usually pre-filled for you.

If you are not a member of the sites you will need to become a member, which will take some time just filling in the forms and replying to the confirmation emails, but once you do that you are done.
Once you have become a member, all you have to do is click the button, or install the button on your browser (took me 3 seconds to figure that part out, it is just drag and drop). Hit the submit tab in the top right of the SocialMarker site, and you're off. When you are done on the first site click the next tab, and do the same thing, until you have submitted your website to as many, or few, of the Social Bookmarking sites that you choose.
A very big benefit of this is that your link will be noticed, and indexed by the major search engines sometimes within minutes. The reason for this is the popularity of these sites, there is constantly new information being posted, so the crawlers keep coming back for more.

Don't be 'realistic' or 'reasonable', that's what average people do. I bet the title of this article sounds familiar to you. Yes, it's my version of Wil Schroter's "Go Big or Go Home". Wil, a serial entrepreneur and nationally syndicated startup guru, reveals how the next generation of startup companies think BIGGER, grow FASTER and dominate new markets virtually overnight.
Bear with me for a minute and let's have a closer look on his key points:

But since I'm not that keen to quit my opportunity to look smart, I would assume your answer is "no". Or, you might not have an answer at all and this would be a good time for me to explain why I think a business, no, let me rephrase: any business should include internet in their recipe of success. I'll try to be short. Some things speak for themselves so here are a couple of ideas:
1. You are in the selling business. The more you sell, the better you do. So you need to find customers, lots of customers. You need to reach them, to present them your offer and let them understand why you are better then your competition. You can print flyers and brochures (oh, printing it's so expensive!) and you can travel all over the state or to the surrounding states to get to your customers (Oh, I haven't checked yet, how much is the gas today?). Or you can sit and wait for the customers to come to you. But there is a better alternative: build and promote your website. You will have more space then a flyer to present your offer and "virtual traveling" is not expensive. Local and out-of-state customers will find and contact you easier.
2. If you are a restaurant, a florist or a boat rental, just imagine how many customers you might lose just because they either cannot remember your business name or they want to find a little bit more details or prices before they decide to choose someone. Reaching toward a keyboard is oftentimes easier than finding a lost business card, and search engines have a much better memory than humans.
3. If you are in insurance business, how do you make it easier for the people to find you or to choose you instead of your competition? Posting your name on a long list on the "mother" company flyer or even website does not help too much. Build your own website and be creative. Advertise your website, stand out from the crowd and let people know you have something of value to offer. It's cheaper and more effective than other marketing tools.
I can go on with my list forever. I think you already have the idea. Make sure you run an effective marketing campaign and don't ignore the power of INTERNET. It might be cheaper and more effective than many other classic tools. Of course, you can ignore internet and continue to do business "the old way" (what the heck, the world survived thousands of years without internet, right?). But if you make this decision, picture this: you will be just riding a bicycle on a super-highway crowded with powerful and fast cars and trucks.

Email is such an integral part of our lives now, that many of us cannot imagine how we ever got along without it. So here are a bunch of things to do, not do, and keep in mind as we use this wonderful, maddening essential tool we call email.
Always sign out properly from your email account. Do not just click the little "X" in the upper right corner. Yes, this will indeed appear to close your email client, or program. But your account may still be active. The next user of your computer could click on your shortcut or icon to that program, and find themselves right back in your account.
If you use a public or shared computer, never step away from your PC while your email account is open. Also, do not use your main email account to sign up for stuff unless it is from a trusted, respected source. Get a fr ee web-based email account from Yahoo! Windows Live (Hotmail) or Gmail. Do not believe email Subject Lines that claim "You requested this". Chances are, you did not.
Here is something I hope everyone knows by now. If you are sending a message to a list of people, but you do not want each recipient to see who the other recipients are (or their email addresses), do this: In the To: box, put your own address to another of your mailboxes. Then put all the real addresses in the Bcc (Blind carbon copy) box. Each addressee will get the email with your address in the From: field, but will not see the multiple addresses. Go to that other mailbox of yours, to confirm the email has been sent in the proper form.

When mailing to a group, it is considered common courtesy to use Bcc. The email looks neater and easier to read. And the recipients cannot see any of the email addresses.
Ever had this happen to you in Outlook Express (OE)? Your list of Folders on the left-hand side of the screen suddenly goes missing in action. Do not tear your hair out; the solution is simple. See that word Inbox on the upper left, with the tiny down arrow next to it? Click it, and your Folders will reappear! BUT, you must now click the little push-pin in the Folders window, or they will soon disappear again.
You should change your OE password regularly, just as you change all your other passwords (I hope!). Yes, there is a password in OE, even if you have the program set to remember it and you completely forgot all about it. In principle, you could change your password by clicking File, Identities, Manage Identities, Properties. Click Change Password. Or you may have to click the box Require a password then click Change Password.
However, this can be a tricky business, and you could lose OE entirely. So your best bet is to call your Internet Service Provider and have them help you with this change.
To surf the Web more safely and securely, get The Cloak to set up a proxy for you. A proxy server sits between you and the Internet. Web sites you visit through the proxy will think the proxy server is your home computer, and will be unable to see any of your own information. For example, Web sites will attempt to put cookies on the proxy, not on your computer. Go here to set it up: http://www.the-cloak.com/anonymous-surfing-home.html
Finally, if you want to find someone's email address, just plug their name into your favorite search engine. If that does not work, add any other information you may have, such as their physical address, profession, etc.
