Although the potential to make money online is definitely out there, the competition is getting more fierce everyday. No matter what anybody tells you there in no one way to tap into an online market. Marketers will try and sell you the "sure thing", but the next day they will try and get you to buy something else. It gets incredibly confusing even for someone like me who has been around for a while. Everyone is claiming there method is the easiest and quickest way to get rich from the internet. That's why I always ask myself is there really such a thing as "easy money"?
I also ask myself and many others, why is there a need to be stinking rich. Sure financial security is something that we all strive for, but the idea of becoming a millionaire for spending a couple of hours on the computer everyday just strikes me as a little far fetched. This goes back the thought that if it sounds to good to be true then it probably is. But if you read the salespages of some of these online marketers, its just a matter of plugging in some links, sending out a press release, and watching the money come pouring in. And the claims are as close to outrageous as it comes. The next person who makes $30,000 their first ever month of internet marketing, please let me know. I will gladly eat my words and apologize on every corner of the internet. But something tells me that I won't be getting a flood of phone calls or e-mails on that one.
I know that I sound a little negative, and that is not my intention. But I will be honest with you. I have fallen for some these claims before and spent thousands of dollars trying to bring in the "big bucks". Although, my intentions were good and that I wanted to provide for a better life for my family, things were just falling apart. I won't lie to you. I made some money, but not nearly enough to cover my expenses, and this was while spending every waking moment on the computer. Everything suffered... my family life, my financial situation, and my sleep!! I had no other choice to give up on it and walk away. Some things just weren't meant to be.
I got back into it a couple of months later, but this time I had a completely different mindset. I knew there was no way that I was going to be a millionaire, nor did I want to be. Sure there are several internet marketers who have made millions, but they have been at it for years and still have to spend every waking moment coming up with new concepts and ideas to keep their business and their reputation fresh. I wasn't into that at all, I just wanted to make some extra money that I could use for special occasions or even help pay off my house a little faster. So I had to find or develop system that didn't cost much, but could still give me some sense of accomplishment. But most of all, it couldn't interfere with my family life or my sleep. At first, that didn't sound feasible until I did some research. Much like you are doing right now.
I have written a couple articles prior to this, but not for anything but fun. It had never occurred to me that I can use it as a way to make some extra money online. But then I came to realize that the potential was huge not just because of article directories, but your articles could end up in e-zines and even high up in search engine results. So I played with the idea a little. I wrote a couple articles a day, being careful not to spend more than on hour on the computer. And within 1 week I received commission for a sale. I couldn't believe it! I hadn't spent a single dime and actually made some money. I just kept it up and was able to refine my writing style so that it didn't take me more than 30 minutes to write a couple of articles a day.
After a while there were stretches where I was averaging over $100 a day. This wasn't all the time, but still the idea of making over $100 a day was just amazing to me. It wasn't just a year ago when I was spending thousands of dollars and not make near that much. Now I was spending nothing, but a half hour a day and I was making money!
This is not a way to make a million dollars, but it is a simple, and may I say "easy" way to make money for very little time or money invested.
