How To Leverage Traffic From Mega Popular Web 2.0 Sites

by Fabian Tan

The first objective of an Internet business is to generate traffic to their website. Without traffic, no sales (and no money) can be made. So just how do you actually generate a ton of traffic to your site without blowing your budget? One way to do that is through Web 2.0 sites.
Web 2.0 sites are a relatively new craze. Basically, they comprise of sites like social networking sites (MySpace, Facebook) and video sharing sites (YouTube) and even blogs (Blogger, Wordpress).
Here are two ways you can create a ton of traffic from Web 2.0 sites:
1. Post a tutorial video on YouTube
Create a useful and informative tutorial video for your niche and post it up on YouTube. How to get traffic to your video: include popular keyword tags your audience uses on the search engines. You can use a free tool like Wordtracker to see which keywords are most often used in your market. Find those keywords with little competition and you will do excellent with your tutorial video.
2. Social networking on "steroids"
Relationship building is key to success with social networking sites. When marketing on social networking sites, never try to sell to your prospects immediately. Build a relationship by offering good content such as blog postings, videos and a free ezine. Selling directly never works on social networking sites. I personally know of a few entrepreneurs who make insane profits from building a rabid subscriber list from MySpace along. You can make it work for you too with a strategic plan.
